Cleaning Rules
Please read through the following guidelines for cleaning during your stay and before your departure. Keep in mind this is not a hotel, this is a private home. Do your best to leave the property in the same condition as you found it.
The minimum cleaning fee includes the following only:
- Washing linens, towels, bath mats, dish towels
- Making beds
- Sanitizing kitchen
- Sanitizing bathrooms
- Moping/vacuuming floors
- Wiping surfaces
During your stay (MONTHLY Guests):
Keep up on the general cleaning of the property.
- Vacuum/Sweep/Mop floors weekly
- Dust surfaces weekly
- Clean up spills quickly
- Clean oven if necessary
- Keep kitchen clean
- Remove trash regularly
- Ventilate in bathrooms to prevent moisture buildup
- Clean showers/bathtubs weekly to prevent mold/mildew
- If the property allows pets, keep pet hair cleaned up
When you depart (ALL Guests):
- Leave beds unmade
- Put all soiled towels in a pile near the washing machine
- Basic cleaning of floors
- Remove all items from refrigerator
- If there is a dishwasher, fill with dirty dishes and start cycle
- If no dishwasher, wash dishes and leave to dry or put away
- Put any furniture or décor back where you found it
- Put all trash and recycling in exterior bins
- If trash pickup day is within 1-2 days, put cans at the curb
- Turn off all lights & fans
- Lock all doors and windows
- Return keys to property lockbox or Horizon Realty (mail slot) – 939 Main St. MB, CA
